Our Ethiopia Sidamo is processed using the age-old natural drying method, which requires extreme attention to detail during processing. The result of carefully allowing the fruit to ripen on the coffee bean is a coffee with incredible fruity and floral tones. We roast Ethiopia Sidamo just enough to preserve the natural flavors this coffee embodies: sweet with hints of berries and florals.
The Sidama Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (SCFCU), an umbrella organization representing 47 cooperatives and 80,000 coffee producers spanning across the Sidama zone of southern Ethiopia. The SCFCU was founded in 2001 to support members through training, marketing, and developing producer-buyer relationships. By improving farming practices and quality control, producers have seen higher prices paid for their coffee. The union also contributes to the socio-economic well-being of producers by providing access to credit and education programs in these communities.
